“I believe that we humans need a connection with nature, just like we need air to breathe”, says Sabine Plattner, member of the board Leadership for Conservation in Africa. We first reported on the Leadership for Conservation project in Africa in our December issue. We driving force behind this unique project, which unifies tourism, development aid and nature conservation in unparalleled manner, is the German entrepreneur Sabine Plattner. Her main project within the framework of the LCA is the Odzala Kokoua National Park in the Congo. The park now sports three newly constructed 5-star lodges as a base for tourists on their way to close encounters with animals – first and foremost the gorillas. In the June edition of Polo Luxury & Country Life Magazine starts Sabines column about the projects of LCA.
